"I have always had a keen interest in badminton and have played competitively for many years in the local Kent leagues. I started helping at OJs when my children decided to take up the sport. They have both progressed onwards from Class 1, representing Bromley in the London Youth Games and Orpington in the Kent Inter-regional tournaments. I formalised my interest in coaching by passing the Badminton England UKCC level 1 Assistant badge in 2005 and, after working as an assistant with the top class for several years, achieved Level 2 in June 2009."
